Torka is a talking-head video editor for iPhone. Here are answers to the questions we hear most, and how to reach us.
Please include your iPhone model and iOS version.
Getting started
Open Torka, tap New edit, then Import to choose a video from your Photos library, or record one in the app. Torka cuts the pauses, filler words and retakes automatically. You can tap any word to put it back, or cut it yourself.
Captions, zoom and colour
Under the timeline, the chips set the look: the format (9:16 or original), captions (Off, Pop, Clean or Lower), zoom (Off, Subtle or Punchy), and colour. Changes apply to the preview straight away, and the export uses the same settings.
B-roll
B-roll adds stock footage and photos that match what you say. Torka finds them and places them automatically. You can choose a style before you process a video, or turn B-roll off.
Exporting and saving
Exports are saved to your Photos library. If a video doesn't appear, check that Torka has permission to add to Photos in Settings.
Permissions
Torka asks for the camera and microphone to record, Photos to import and save, and Speech Recognition to make a transcript. You can change these in the Settings app under Torka.
Deleting your data
Delete an edit inside the app. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your phone. See our privacy policy for what we send to outside services.
